Meet our people
Since joining NES as SVP Technical in January, Kathrine Molvik has quickly established herself as a leader and a forward-thinker within our team. With years of experience in technology and innovation, she has become a key figure in driving NES’s ambitions for greener, more efficient maritime solutions.
From FeC Founder to NES Leader
Before coming to NES, Kathrine founded FeC, a welding and material technology company, and led it for over eight years. Her commitment to quality and resilience helped FeC thrive in a competitive market, making it a respected name in the industry.
Her efforts were recognised in 2016 when she was named "Female Entrepreneur of the Year," underscoring her drive to innovate and her ability to lead through challenges. At NES, Kathrine draws on this experience to help guide our team through new developments in sustainable technology.
“I believe in pushing boundaries – not only for myself but also for my team. It’s about stepping out of comfort zones and discovering our collective potential," she says.
This approach has already started shaping the projects and goals her team pursues.
"This is an exciting time to be in maritime technology. Working on solutions for cleaner, more efficient operations is a challenge that truly motivates me."
Embracing the Green Shift
Kathrine’s role at NES focuses on supporting the green shift in maritime technology. Leading NES’s product innovation, she collaborates closely with her team to find solutions that reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency.
Her background in material technology allows her to take a practical, grounded approach to these goals, working alongside her team to create solutions that align with NES’s values and industry needs.
Since joining, Kathrine has encouraged an open environment for collaboration and problem-solving. She aims to build a team that adapts to the changing landscape and actively contributes to it.
“Working on solutions for cleaner, more efficient operations is a challenge that truly motivates me," she says.
